I ordered two of these knife blocks and asked George to customize three slots in one of the blocks to accommodate specific utensils. George was FANTASTIC to do business with! It was VERY easy to communicate with George via Etsy, we wrote to each other several times to ensure he knew exactly what I wanted. The knife blocks are fabulous, fine craftsmanship using beautiful solid hardwood. I HIGHLY recommend this shop. We are thrilled with our purchase!

This block is as great as a decorative piece as it is for what it's intended! The lines where the cuts are joined and the well-shaped edges are not abruptly eye catching—which, to me, is the very best part! Their muted presence makes this piece feel comfortably natural, as though it's how the block has always been. There's more to appreciate the longer I look at it! Thanks George!

What a work of art! I cannot fully express how beautiful this cutting board is in person. In fact, I am displaying/storing it out on my countertop as part of my kitchen decor. As someone who enjoys preparing home-cooked meals, and does so daily, I can say with confidence that this is going to meet all of my needs. Also given the quality craftsmanship that obviously went into creating this board I am certain it will be an essential tool in my home kitchen for decades. Mr. Koehl was excellent in communicating with me from order to arrival. This would make an excellent gift for someone. Highly recommend!
